A rainy day at the office: Norbert Michelisz and the MOL Group Zengő Motorsport team have faced a difficult challenge at their home-race in Hungary with both Free Practice sessions being run on a wet track.
In the No. 5 Honda Civic WTCC Norbert managed solid lap-times despite the conditions and finished fifth twice. And progress is clear for all to see as the Hungarian local hero reduced his gap to the leading drivers by 1.3 seconds in the second session. Heading into qualifying, Norbert is positive about his chances for a top 5 spot on the grid for the 2015 FIA WTCC MOL Group Race of Hungary on Sunday.
It was quite difficult because of the circumstances", Norbert says about his outings in the Free Practice sessions. "I did not push too hard but was looking for different lines on the circuit instead. I have not driven this track in the wet very often before. But it worked well for me and my lap-times improved, although the track offered not too much grip."
The Zengő Motorsport driver continues: "I am quite confident for qualifying. I think we can make it into the top 5 and progress to Q3. But the weather will be tricky in qualifying. Sometimes it is raining, sometimes it is not. I do not know what to wish for as we are competitive in the wet, too, it seems. Let us hope for either dry or wet and nothing in between."
