Fortune did not favour Norbert Michelisz and the MOL Group Zengő Motorsport team at Slovakia Ring and the Hungarian outfit leaves Slovakia with only four points. But it was not for the lack of trying after an already tough qualifying session.

From P13 on the grid Norbert recovered well in both races and had a solid top 10 finish within his sights in Race 1 when the left front tire of his No. 5 Honda Civic WTCC car suddenly suffered a puncture. This forced the car off track and Norbert had to retire. Race 2 proved to be equally challenging with Norbert coming under pressure from Honda works driver Tiago Monteiro but resisting well until being hit hard from behind. However, Norbert brilliantly caught his sliding car and managed to bring it home in eighth place – in front of Monteiro. Nevertheless, this is not what he was hoping for in front of a huge crowd of Hungarian fans in Slovakia.

"Both races were quite difficult for us", Norbert says. "In the first race we had a puncture and with that all chances were gone. Fortunately, the car did not sustain too much damage. But I was really disappointed and wanted to finish the second race even more. In the end we did not have the pace to fight for the positions in front of us. We always had to defend which was not a nice feeling and the car was difficult to drive all the way. I am disappointed with how things went in qualifying and in today's races. Okay, we scored some points for P8. But unfortunately the speed was not there."
