Only one more stop on the 2015 FIA WTCC world tour remains: the grand finale at Qatar. And it will be a first for Norbert Michelisz and the MOL Group Zengő Motorsport team for several reasons. One, the championship has never travelled to the Middle East before. Two, both races will be held in the dark as the track will be lighted with floodlights for the first-ever WTCC night race.

“Having a night race won’t be a big change for us drivers but hopefully it will add to the show for the spectators,” Norbert says.

The final event of the 2015 FIA WTCC season is sure to offer plenty of drama and excitement in any case because Norbert and his team are still fighting for more points in the World Drivers’ Championship and for overall glory in the Yokohama Drivers’ Championship. However, it’s going to be a difficult challenge for the Hungarian outfit as their No. 5 Honda Civic WTCC will carry 40 kilos of compensation weight which makes for tricky handling and less power on acceleration.

“I know that we will have a tough weekend because of the 40 kilos of extra weight,” Norbert says. “But I also know that if everything goes well in qualifying we should be able to finish the season on the podium in Qatar.”

After that, a long and demanding season will be over. “It's unbelievable how time flies because we are already preparing ourselves for the last races of the 2015 season in Qatar,” Norbert says. “The Losail circuit will be new territory for almost everyone and with its’ long, fast corners and high ambient temperatures it will be a big challenge for all competitors.”
